Stately Town Hall Civil Wedding in Cortona followed by a Countryside Wedding Reception in Tuscany
Tuscany is known for small dreamy towns and vast landscapes away from stress and being in nature. For our wedding couple, Shirin and Georg it was just the right mixture for their civil wedding.
Together with friends and family, our wedding couple spent a week in a typical Tuscan farmhouse. A farm stay is very often found in the countryside around the famous tourist cities of Florence, Pisa or Siena. Olive oil or wine is often cultivated on these, now very exclusive and chic farms. There are also some horses, sheep or other animals on the farms. In harmony with nature, you can spend nice, quiet hours encircled by family and friends. Some of the converted farms now have their own pools, so a trip to the sea is no longer necessary.
For Shirin and Georg, it was the perfect package, supplemented by little excursions together with all their guests. On their great day, the journey led them to Cortona, a stately and small town in the province of Arezzo, where we organized the civil wedding, which gave the celebration a very special and romantic setting.
As real experts, we organise weddings throughout Italy. In addition to marriages in the most beautiful Italian cities, wedding ceremonies are also possible in ancient villas, palaces, wine-growing estates or romantic Italian gardens. A wedding ceremony usually lasts between 20 and 30 minutes, and has two witnesses and a translator beside the couple. Our service includes translations and interpreters, transfers and the organisation of everything for the wedding celebration.
After the wedding ceremony in the town hall of Cortona, Tuscany, Shirin, Georg and their guests had an aperitif and lunch in one of Cortona’s most beautiful restaurants. As well as wine from the region, genuine Tuscan specialties were also served at the wedding table. After lunch, it was time for the wedding photos. As well as the historic town centre with its beautiful old buildings, the Po Valley with the typical Tuscany landscape provided the setting for the wedding photos.
A celebration dinner was held in the evening, back at the farmhouse, with all their family and friends together at a long table. There were non-stop celebrations, with fine food, drinking, and dancing until the morning hours.
